Estate Planning Attorney

Walker Lambe, PLLC, an established AV rated law firm is seeking an attorney with 2+ years experience in estate planning and/or elder law for our Durham County, NC office. Candidates will meet with prospective clients, design estate plans, and draft legal documents related to the plan. The ideal candidate is adept at coaching prospective clients and referral sources on applicable issues. The role requires strong interpersonal skills for developing working relationships with community members, staff, and attorneys of the firm.

Qualifications Include:

  • Attorney licensed in North Carolina in good standing with the NC Bar
  • At least 2 years of experience in Estate Planning

Our Marketing Assistant role is responsible for supporting the business development and marketing goals of the firm. This role reports to the Executive Director and will liaise with Member Attorneys as necessary to achieve marketing objectives. Current objectives include, among other things, updating the firm website and online presence, publishing newsletters, building and maintaining our social media presence, providing basic graphic design and correspondence, and event and seminar support.

Job Responsibilities

Our Marketing Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Lead generation and tracking
  • Prospect research
  • Collection of marketing data
  • Website and social media management
  • SEO optimization
  • Copy writing and graphic design for newsletters, brochures, invitations, slide show decks, and more
  • Circulating press releases
  • Coordinating with marketing vendors
  • Sponsorship coordination
  • Participation in trade groups
  • Event support
  • Other marketing and administrative tasks, as assigned

Qualifications

  • Four year degree strongly preferred

We currently have a need for a legal assistant with corporate law exposure to support one of our business attorneys. This position would be ideal for someone weary of commuting East to a big Raleigh firm. It would also be ideal for someone interested in a potential part-time situation. This position could be part-time or full-time, depending on the candidate preference and fit for the position.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Calendaring and scheduling
  • Client interfacing

  • Filing Articles of Incorporation
  • Revising leases and other business contracts
