Richard G. Long III
Bio
Originally from Union County, NC, Richard joined the Walker Lambe team in January 2023 with a focus in Estate Administration. Richard’s father is also an attorney, and Richard worked alongside him in a general practice in Monroe for two years prior to returning to the Triangle, with a focus on estates and real estate. He was one of two public administrators for Union County during his last year at the firm, and from this he gained experience with unique facets of estate administration.
Richard received his bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2011, and then spent six years in Washington, D.C. working for various nonprofit organizations before returning to North Carolina to attend Campbell University’s School of Law in Raleigh. As a law student, Richard excelled in Constitutional Law classes and received the book award for the highest grade in the school’s Community Legal Clinic. Richard graduated cum laude in May 2020 before taking and passing the Uniform Bar Exam that summer. Richard is a member of the North Carolina and South Carolina Bars.
In his spare time, you’ll find Richard with his wife and daughter exploring the Triangle and surrounding areas, watching and cheering on the Tar Heels, or playing golf.
